BRISBANE CRICKET

It is Sunday morning here in Brisbane and Fran and I are off to the Gabba in a short while to watch the fourth day of the first Ashes Test. Brisbane has gone cricket mad.

The Barmy Army tour bus goes past our bedroom window. Makes one feel patriotic and a little embarrassed at the same time.

This is a city centre beach called Streets Beach which has been taken over by Vodafone to show the cricket live on a big screen. Note the cardboard armchairs they provide which work very well. There is a market just behind the beach and the whole set-up must have been designed by God as Fran went to the market and I had to sit on the beach surrounded by skimpy bikinis and watch the cricket.

She's back!

All odds stacked in favour of the Aussies at the start of day 4 but we will see.
